Hawaii

Since we had a whole 4 days off together we decided to make use of our flight benefits and jet somewhere. We have been having visions of tropical climates and palm trees for quite some time now and decided what better time to soak up some sun?! We packed a few things and headed to the airport on Monday morning. We arrived around 3:30pm and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. It was in the 80's! We were literally peeling off layers as we left the airport! I'll let the pics doing the talking though...

We stayed in a hotel right on Waikiki! We ended up spending the day at the beach swimming and splashing around and then we walked around and enjoyed the perfect weather. After the beach we drove to North Shore and the Dole Plantation and headed straight to the airport. We took the red-eye back home- it left at 10:15pm and we arrived home bright and early on Weds morning since we both had to work Weds night! It sure was a whirlwind of a trip but worth it!
We had so much fun playing at the beach and enjoying the sun.
(even if it was only for a day!) A day is better than nothing in my book :)
